What kinds of work does the team do?

What should I include in my inquiry?

Include your name, organization, contact information, project goals, the type of support you need, and any deadlines. If you have a budget in mind, include that too.

Can I see examples of your work?

Is the team available during the summer?

Most client work follows the fall-through-spring academic schedule. Contact our team to discuss summer projects and availability for your timeline.

For Students

How do I join Bobcat Promotions?

Contact Chuck Kaufman at ck17@txstate.edu or use the contact form. Any Texas State student interested in strategic communications can ask about getting involved.

Do I have to be a mass communication major?

No. Bobcat Promotions is open to students from any major. The program has included students in English, Finance, Graphic Design, Marketing, and mass communication disciplines.

Can I get involved without much experience?

Yes. Students can learn alongside experienced team members and the faculty adviser. An interest in learning and contributing is a good starting point.

What experience can I gain?

Students can develop skills in public relations, advertising, digital media, writing, client communication, teamwork, project management, and pitching. Client work can also contribute to a professional portfolio.

Can students receive course credit?

Ask Chuck Kaufman about the Media Practicum course, required paperwork, eligibility, and current credit or payment arrangements. Students track their work using weekly time sheets.

Can I work on Bobcat Promotions’ own communications?

Yes. Students may contribute to Bobcat Promotions’ internal promotion as well as work for specific clients.
